T-shirts are now available for Cedar Lane members to wear while participating in outreach ministries in the community. Shirts are $7 each. We currently have sizes adult small – extra large available in the church office. Additional orders will be placed so if you need a size that is not currently available see Steven Hovater or Jennifer Land.

Donations continue to be accepted for toys and stuffed animals for Romanian children. A collection box is located in the main foyer. All toys and stuffed animals must be new or “like new” condition. Monetary donations can be placed in the collection envelopes and marked “Romanian Christmas”. Please see Curtis or Deana Brewer for more information.

Donations continue to be collected in an effort to provide Spanish Children’s Bibles to our mission team in Arequipa, Peru. You can place donations for this cause in the contribution envelopes. Please earmark your donation “Peru Bibles.” Coin collection cans are available for those interested in taking them home. Thank you to all who have already donated! Jade Tibbals is moving to Nashville. On July 24 she will need help from four or five men/young men from 9:00 a.m. to noon (current time estimate) to help move furniture from the second story of her parents’ house onto a Uhaul. Some of the furniture is very heavy. If you can help you can contact Jade at (247-2742) or Karen Tibbals at (224-7032).

The Cedar Lane youth have been participating in a mentor program at Whispering Oaks. A reward trip is planned for July 23 to Lake Winnepesaukah in Chattanooga. Fifteen sponsors are needed with donations of $25 each to cover the entrance cost for the children from Whispering Oaks. If you would like to make a donation you can place it in the collection plate and mark “Whispering Oaks” on the envelope or turn it in to the church office.

Last year a group of young ladies from Cedar Lane attended the girls day at Woodson Chapel in Nashville. It was a wonderful day of faith and fun! This year, girl’s day will be held August 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The theme will be Girls of Grace: Faith, Family, & Friends. Sarah Hibbett from Freed-Hardeman University will be the speaker again this year. Lunch will be served at the church. Special classes will be held for girls and moms. This event is open to girls in grades 5-12 and there is no cost. Attendees will travel there by the church van. If you would like to attend see Jennifer Land by August 8.
