Bridal Tea

Meghan Fitzgerald, bride elect of Andy Bozeman will be honored with a bridal tea on Sunday, September 20th from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. in the reception room. Meghan and Andy are registered at Wal-mart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Dillards.

**John York is a Professor of Preaching and New Testament and Presidential Fellow at Lipscomb University. John currently teaches graduate classes for Hazelip School of Theology, undergraduate classes in the College of Bible at Lipscomb University, and is an adjunct professor for the D.Min. program at the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University. John will be speaking on September 6, 13, and 27.

ROMANIAN EFFORT NEEDS DONATIONS

Imogene McAnulty is in need of underwear, socks, and jeans for boys and girls age 2-10. There is a donation box in the lobby. All donations need to be received by the end of August.

CEDARLANE CHILDREN CAN HELP ROMANIAN CHILDREN THIS CHRISTMAS

During the months of September and October, the children at the church of Christ at Cedar Lane will have an opportunity to give their money to our missionary, Imogene McAnulty, for the purchase of Christmas gifts and necessary supplies for orphaned, sick and abandoned children in Romania. Containers will be in all children’s classrooms. Children can place their contributions in these containers anytime during August and September. This is a great opportunity to teach our children about sharing what they have with those in need. Let’s all get behind this worthy cause.

MODEST IS HOTTEST FASHION SHOW

All ladies and girls of the congregation are invited to a back to school fashion show on August 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the reception room. Join the high school girls of the church of Christ at Cedar Lane and the church of Christ at Wilson Avenue as they show their personal style while honoring God by dressing modestly and with style. Refreshments will be served after the show.
